The #1 question we get asked in
email and on the phones is about new software that
can be loaded onto a Pansat, Coolsat or Fortec
receiver. The question usually goes like this:
What do I need to do to
get all the channels?
To reduce the massive amount of email and phone
calls surrounding this one question, we felt it
necessary to address it here. A simple Internet
search in Google will bring up hundreds of sites in
the FTA hardware and software industry. Some
dealers like us are true free-to-air retailers
and others are hacking sites. Most of these hacking
sites are bold enough to tell people the truth that
if you buy their product it will get free Dish
Network in the USA and free Bell ExpressVu out of
Canada.
The truth is the software with step-by-step
instructions is freely available on the Internet.
The truth is the satellite companies don't like it.
What is irritating to us is how other dealers can
charge for this new software (firmware) that is
already freely available on the Internet. Charging
for freeware is not right.
You will notice that most of these hacking sites do
not have a phone number. We are available 7 days a
week to help you find the best product that suits
your needs best. Call or email us now for some
professional assistance.
If a
free to air unit has to be reset due to the
downloading of illegal software, a $75.00 fee will
be charged PER UNIT! This is what the manufacturer
charges us.
We have been involved in the free-to-air satellite
industry before any of this software was released on
the Internet. We have enjoyed earning a great living
retailing FTA systems to people around the world.
More recently, our sales of FTA receivers (Pansat
and Fortec) have soared. An obvious logical
conclusion is people are making decisions in the
privacy of their own home to download new software
(firmware) and loading (flashing) new code to the
receiver to decode channels. We don't find it
necessary to sugarcoat the truth.
A customer once told us that we should not be
ashamed to be in this Industry. He reminded us that
we are not the software developers or promoters. He
also made a great comparison of our company to Dell
Computer Corporation. Dell is the #1 selling PC in
North America. Most Dell computers come with a CD
burner or DVD burner. If a customer chooses to burn
a copyrighted music CD or burn a movie that was
rented from the video store, where is that Dells
fault?
We are in the exact same position as Dell.
We retail legal free-to-air receivers that receive
International channels from around the world. These
receivers can be upgraded to steal TV. We know
people are having success following step-by-step
instructions available at many websites and forums
to get premium pay stations for free because they
refer their friends and family back to us to
purchase more receivers.
We appreciate your purchase and are here for
warranty and customer support.
Warning:
Receivers
are only for use with authorized software that can
be downloaded off of the manufactures website.
Unauthorized software cannot, by any means, be used
with any receiver. Should any receiver contain such
unauthorized software, the warranty will be null and
void. |
